Weekend!

Woo hoo! The weekend is here. Boy, am I really looking forward to Monday. I feel as though I can get nothing done with all these bodies in the house constantly. Seems like the work never ends...preparing meals, cleaning them up again, putting leftovers away, chasing kids around the house, taking kids (Brookie) off the table constantly, a million questions...whew.
Yesterday Brookie and I went to Innkeepers with friends for coffee, then we took our kids to the park to play until lunch time. Afterward, Brooklyn and I checked out a few consignment shops on Main Street we had never gone to before. One of them, Anonymously Yours, I had heard about at my Mom2Mom group. Boy, were their items expensive for used goods! I couldn't believe it! I will definitely be sticking with Goodwill and the Salvation Army, where women's shirts are less than $4 compared to $14 plus.
Larynn had to get her hair cut after school last night. She just got a little trim as she is trying to grow it out. I also let her get purple streaks in her hair. Maybe crazy, but I remember always being told by my mother what haircut I was getting and I always ended up with a Shirley Temple mullet. Yeah. So, I have decided to leave the hair decisions to my children and focus on preaching about the things in life that truly bear importance.
When I got home, after 4:00, my wonderful husband had nearly half the lawn mowed. Great time to do it. That way we could spend more of the weekend doing stuff together. For dinner we had leftovers. Shawn had cheeseburger and chicken rice, the kids had bbq chicken sandwiches and I had my yummy Italian beef on a hardroll. It was fantastic, especially because I didn't get lunch!
We ended the night watching a movie. I rented a few when I was in town. We watched the new Miley Cyrus movie, titled The Last Song. It was pretty good. After that, it was lights out for all of us. Logan put himself in bed at around 9:00. He couldn't take anymore.
This morning we started the day with cereal and fresh fruit. For lunch we had Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was delicious. HyVee breadsticks were amazing. Shawn left to go golfing with a few buddies so the children have decided to golf on the Wii since they didn't get to go along. They expected to? Yeah, right. Tonight, we are having homemade pizza (I think) and ending the day with a Strawberry Shortcake treat, and a few more movies!

Girl's Day Out

Today was a pretty long day. Shawn and I were up pretty late last night updating Brooklyn's baby book and pasting in 67 pictures. Then, of course I had to finishing setting up our blog page and shower so bedtime wasn't until midnight.
Brooklyn and I made a quick run into town to return movies and shop Verizon for a different phone. Not digging this Droid. Keeps freezing up, turns itself off, wont make calls half the time...you know, all the shit its supposed to do. Matter of fact, I'm blogging on it right now because Shawn left his computer at work. The keyboard is like a cheap calculator whose buttons are hard to register when pushed. So, if considering the Moto Droid, reconsider.
Brookie and I had Pizza Hut for lunch. It was yummy! They have a chicken alfredo pizza on the menu, named the Italian Chicken (or vice versa). It's to die for, really. After our delicious lunch we hit up Goodwill for some deals and found some great stuff.

Welcome!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Ditsch family blog spot. I am excited to have a way to post pictures and daily events for friends and family from afar to see at their convenience. It is a great way to keep connected, and hope that you will consider doing the same so we, in turn, know what is going on with you and yours! It's kinda like getting one of those annoying Christmas letters, every day of the week! Please, feel free to comment as you'd like. If it gets too crazy, I'll just delete your numerous, meaningless posts. :) I will try to blog as much as possible. Few times a week at least, until I can scrape up $500.00 to get my own laptop and enjoy the luxuries the internet has to offer (at MY convenience).
Thanks again for joining us!
